We’re leaving for South Africa this Friday, and we’re so close to hitting our fundraising goal for Mother of Peace Community – Johannesburg — 71% there, with £1,430 raised out of our £2,000 target. That means we have just £570 left to raise.
Every single donation to the orphanage helps, whether it’s £1 or £50. This final push could make all the difference for the children we’re going to support.
Where Your Money Goes
We’re visiting the Mother of Peace Orphanage, near Johannesburg. It’s been a home for children in crisis since 1989 — kids affected by poverty, abuse, and the HIV/AIDS crisis. They don’t just get shelter. They get love, structure, education, and a sense of family.
Right now, they need help. And that’s where your support can have a real impact.

• £75 – Buys five fans to cool classrooms and bedrooms in 30°C+ heat
• £200 – Connects a gas geyser for hot water in the kitchen
• £250 – Provides football boots, kits, and balls for the kids
• £400 – Buys materials to build a roof over the verandah
• Any amount – Helps level their football field so the kids can play safely
These aren’t luxuries. They’re small, practical things that will make daily life better. They’ll bring comfort, joy, dignity, and confidence to children who’ve had a tough start.
